Kæri ristjóri Sólskins.

Ósköp hlakka eg til þegar Lögberg kemur, þá fæ eg að stafa og lesa það sem eg vil í sólskini, enda hefir mér farið mikið fram í vetur, og það má eg þakka blessuðu Sólskininu okkar.

Með beztu óskum til þín og allra Sólskinsbarnanna.

Dear editor of Sólskin.

I so look forward to when Lögberg arrives, then I can spell out and read what I want to in the sunshine, as I have done a lot this winter, and I can thank our blessed Sólskin for that.
