Eg þakka þér innilega fyrir Sólskinið. Eg hefi gaman af að lesa Sólskinsblaðið. Eg er búin að láta binda inn það, sem út er komið af Sólskininu. Eg sendi þér hér með stutta sögu. Eg hefi verið að reyna að safna fyrir Sólskinssjóðinn, og sendi hér með peninga og lista yfir gefendurna.

Með beztu jóla óskum til þín og allra Sólskinsbarnanna. Með vinsemd og virðingu.

Honourable editor of Sólskin:–

Thank you sincerely for Sólskin. I enjoy reading the Sólskin paper. I have had bound together that which has come out of Sólskin. I am sending along a short story. I have been trying to collect for the Sólskin-fund and am sending along money and a list of donors.
