Book Information

Book Description

This book provides an opportunity for students to learn the core concepts of biomechanics and understand how those concepts apply to human movement. Introduction to Biomechanics provides a beginner overview of biomechanics concepts such as movement in one and two dimensions (linear kinematics); work, power, and energy; linear kinetics; force and the laws of motion; linear momentum and collisions, and angular kinematics and kinetics. While it assumes students are familiar with high school algebra, most math is straightforward – for instance, involving equations with one unknown and/or right angle trigonometry – and examples are provided throughout.
