Book Title: Teaching with Images
Subtitle: A computational design resource for understanding urban animals

Book Description: 'Looking at People, Looking at Animals' is a research project focused on documenting the behaviour and activities of urban mammals in Winnipeg. The project has resulted in this book, which describes methods for using large image collections in design; a collection of over 115,000 labelled images of animals in the urban woodlands of Winnipeg; and jupyter notebooks detailing selected computational methods for working with and understanding large image collections. These resources are intended for use in teaching, and have been developed by professors and students in the Faculty of Architecture at University of Manitoba.
