54 Tasks, Processes, and Relationships

 

A critical literature review on interprofessional team conflict resolution identified three forms of team conflict: tasks, processes and relationships. They concluded that teams need to engage in training on conflict resolution (Orchard et al., 2023).

This process model illustrates that tasks, processes, and relationships can lead to conflict, filtered through systems, communication and personal issues. Conflict in turn influences roles and engagement, leading to a specific response and ultimately outcomes.
