Academic Misconduct and Academic Integrity
In the video you just watched, the student wrestled with the thought of cheating on his test. He ultimately chose to uphold academic integrity, as the consequences were not worth the risk.
Had he chosen to cheat, however, he would have committed academic misconduct.
Academic misconduct refers to any action that steps off the path of integrity expected and upheld by the university. Engaging in any of the below choices would be academic misconduct as they go against our shared values at BU, and would take a student off the path of academic integrity.
