Part Four: Practical Applications of Pictures, Poetry, and Related Texts

The chapters in this section of Artistic Literacies will provide theoretical and practical connections for teaching visual literacies and poetry. General information about figurative language and poetic devices will be included. The use of imagery and symbols in well-known works of art and poetry will also be connected to themes such as the beauty of animals in art, nature and Haiku poetry, and the landscape of dreams.  Connections to teaching and learning resources will also be provided.
